Hurlin's Parrot Rescue

SKU: R23

Everyone needs something to live for, something that makes them happy — their passion in life. We are Jake and Tara Hurlin, and we found our niche in the world through parrot rescue. With 10 years of prior parrot rescue experience and a lifetime of dedication, we opened Hurlin’s Parrot Rescue to the public.  We are a non-profit in-home rescue that specializes in urgent rescue cases and special needs parrots. As of 2014, we have the capacity to care for up to 20 parrots at a time depending on their situations. We have been known for assisting parrot owners in finding loving homes for their birds in order to keep space open in our home opened for more critical situations, and we are also happy to offer advice on health and training. Additionally, we pride ourselves in our writings for the public’s education regarding the plight of the captive parrot; public education is a very important part of parrot rescue.

Every rescue bird is treated like family. We make fresh cut veggies, fruits, and bird breads daily and also feed quality pellet or mix foods such as Goldenfeast. For a variety and added nutrition, we offer naturally flavored waters/teas with their daily water dish changes. Hanging jungle gyms from the ceiling along with multiple play stands allow for ample socialization and out-of-cage time. We also have an outdoor flight aviary for the warmer months.
