Santa Barbara Bird Sanctuary is a haven for relinquished parrots. Often owners can no longer provide proper care for their birds. Sometimes birds outlive their loving owners. When in good physical and emotional health, SBBS finds wonderful adopters. For parrots with chronic problems, SBBS gives them a quality life forever at the Sanctuary.

Ginger's Parrot Rescue is a 501c3 Non-Profit Corporation in Casa Grande, Arizona dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of all parrots, but specializing in Senegal Parrots & Cockatiels.

Our mission is simple: to work in joint cooperation with all avian rescue groups to try and eliminate the need for rescue groups by educating the public about avicultural issues. Until that is accomplished, we will provide a sanctuary for those unfortunate parrots that are in need of a home.

A Refuge for Saving the Wildlife, Inc.’s goals are as follows: first and foremost: put all rescues such as ourselves out of the rescue business.

The exclusive mission of Companion Parrots Re-homed is to accept companion parrots from unwanted, emergency or crisis situations throughout the Greater Charlotte, North Carolina, area and to facilitate through training and education, new adoptive homes for these sensitive and intelligent birds.

Papayago Rescue House, Inc. will support the well-being and maintenance of exotic birds, namely parrots, and their people families that require intervention and/or support services to thrive through rescue, rehabilitation, retraining, and/or re-homing.

To better serve the third largest pet community in the world, we will work with bird owners to increase their knowledge, provide mentoring and training to cope with parrot ownership to lessen the need for parrot owners to give up their birds.

NEAR is a specialty animal shelter whose primary mission is to provide safe shelter, rehabilitation services and safe, loving new homes for abused, neglected and otherwise unwanted parrots and other exotic pet birds throughout New York and New England.

The goal of our organization is to help animals in need.  Those companions who have been abandoned, neglected, abused or simply have no place else to turn.  Our greatest desire is to try and  help educate the public about the responsibility of having an animal as a companion.  

There is a great need to have a place where animals that are in serious medical conditions and or disabled, to go.  We would like to eventually have a facility where we can specialize in working with those who are unable to live in homes.  We would like to be able to provide as natural of an environment for those in care. For those animals in need of special requirements (such as special housing, medications, therapy, diets and assistance), giving enrichment to the lives of each companion who comes to the rescue-sanctuary.  

The goal for all involved at the rescue-sanctuary is that all companions who come to us, to be able to have the chance at being in the best nurturing environment that can be provided.  Giving them time to learn to trust, have their medical needs met and to be evaluated, to find out what kind of a home would be best suited for them.  For those who would be unable to make the transition into a home life environment, we would like to have the facilities set up to allow them to reside at Everlasting Hope Rescue-Sanctuary for as long as they need.  

Every companion who comes to Everlasting Hope Rescue-Sanctuary is treated with the utmost respect, compassion, dignity and care.  Having a wonderful team of supporters, volunteers and board members and the best vet ever, will help us achieve giving the very best to those who depend on us. We believe that making a difference is the most important part of running a rescue-sanctuary.

A Parrot's Perch Education and Resource Center is located in Pierce City, Missouri and was recently started in 2010. They accept all species of parrots with the intention to rehabilitate and find permanent homes for them. They provide veterinary care for all of their parrots as well as a diverse diet and stimulating atmosphere. All of the surrendered parrots are kept in foster homes, allowing them to get personal attention in a safe environment.

TCPR works throughout the entire state of Michigan, and is an avian haven dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of companion parrots - we also specialize in African Greys and Eclectus. We understand that all parrot owners love their birds, and that finding a new home for their birds is used as a last option.

TCPR remains non-judgmental and supportive in your time of need. If you need to re-home your bird, TCPR can help by offering your bird a safe place to stay and get veterinary care until the right home can be found!

Feathered Sanctuary Rescue is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit Organization and is dedicated to finding loving and nurturing homes for displaced companion birds and also bonded pairs. With the lifespan of these larger parrots, this is a huge problem in many places today. Whether it be a Parakeet, Finch, Canary,Lovebird, African Grey or a Hyacinth Macaw, our primary concern when a bird is relinquished to our organization, is to find a home for him/her in which the bird will receive the kind of loving care that we would lavish upon our own avian companions.

Another major goal of Feathered Sanctuary Rescue Organization is to keep birds in their current homes. We can do this by working with the original owners if they would like our help.

Our rescue offers its services to those in the Albuquerque area & is proud to be able to extend a helping hand on statewide and national levels as well. Our rescue is equipped to handle approximately 40 parrots at any given time including those with special needs. We specialize in working with larger parrots such as macaws, cockatoos, African greys, & amazons but have extensive experience working with nearly every species of parrot kept in captivity which includes many of the smaller species such as cockatiels, conures, lories, lovebirds, parrotlets, & other small hookbills. Our organization is not a sanctuary & our facility is not designed to permanently care for a growing number of parrots. We feel that each & every parrot we receive is special & unique with individual needs

The Phoenix Landing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer organization. It was established to promote and protect the welfare of parrots, especially those with an extensive lifespan.

Parrot Haven Cockatiels was formed as a second Sanctuary to house Cockatiels as permanent residents and for adoptions. Since we are all full now with permanent residents we arrange cockatiels one-on-one with the adopter and the adoptee's.individual needs

MAARS’ primary function is to care for the MAARS flock at our shelter, The Landing. On any given day, approximately 90 birds call The Landing home. We feel that education about bird care and behavior helps people to provide the best homes possible for the birds already in captivity. Additionally, MAARS advocates and partners with other organizations working to protect parrots in the wild and their habitats.

Since 1999 and every year since our inception, Beak n Wings continues to advance its mission, to take in homeless, unwanted, or abused companion birds, "rehabilitate" them, and find them good, permanent, loving homes. Beak n Wings also strives to educate the community about the special needs of these wonderful pets.

We promote good health, enriched lives, and loving homes for our feathered companions. Through our programs we have seen many lives changed for the better.

Beak n Wings is a charitable 501 (c)(3) organization. Beak n Wings, Inc., is a volunteer organization with the mission to keep focus on the plight of parrots in the United States and committed to responsible bird ownership. In 2003, our first year of rescue and adoptions, Beak n Wings took in a total of 52 relinquished birds and found loving homes for most of them. In 2004, the club became a non-profit corporation and a Kansas state-licensed shelter. Now in our eleventh year, Beak n Wings placed over 1000 birds into new homes.

Currently we have 130 birds in our volunteer foster homes awaiting adoption.
